BART Rapid Rail
BART operates rapid rail service to northern San Mateo County, San Francisco and the East Bay directly from SFO. The SFO BART Station is located on the Departures/Ticketing Level of the International Terminal (G Gates side). BART is easily accessed from any terminal by riding SFO's AirTrain to the Garage G/BART Station stop. There is no charge to board AirTrain. Tickets can be purchased at the SFO BART Station upon arrival.
Caltrain Commuter Rail
Caltrain provides rail service between San Francisco and San Jose. Express trains operate during weekday commute hours, and some operate to Morgan Hill and Gilroy. SamTrans Route SFO connects each Airport terminal with Caltrain's Millbrae Station. It is timed to meet each Caltrain service to and from the south, 7 days per week.
SamTrans Public Bus Service
SamTrans provides 24-hour bus service connecting SFO with San Mateo County and parts of San Francisco. Routes SFO, ECR, 292, 397 and 398 stop directly at the Airport terminals. Routes ECR, 140, 292, and 397 stop at the Rental Car Center and the United Airlines Maintenance Center. Routes ECR, 292 and 397 stop on North McDonnell Road at the Airport Business Center and West Field Road.
At the terminals, SamTrans buses stop at:
Terminal 2: Arrivals/Baggage Claim Level, center island adjacent to Courtyard 2
Terminal 3: Arrivals/Baggage Claim Level, curbside adjacent to Courtyard 4
International Terminal: Level 1 at Courtyard A and curbside adjacent to Courtyard G
San Francisco Bay Ferry
SF Bay Ferry operates rapid ferry service between South San Francisco and Alameda / Oakland during commute hours, Monday through Friday. SFO offers a free Ferry Connector Bus between the Airport and the South San Francisco Ferry Dock, connecting to each ferry arrival or departure.
The Ferry Connector Bus drops off and picks up at the International Terminal’s Courtyard G. Courtyard G is located on Level 1 of the International Terminal. From the arrivals level, follow signs towards Garage G to the bank of three elevators, and go down to Courtyard G on Level 1. To access from other terminals, take the AirTrain to International Terminal G station, and use the western set of elevators (towards the front of Blue line trains or rear of Red Line trains) to Courtyard G on Level 1.
